We will begin the day departing from Tbilisi towards the ancient capital of Iberia to immerse ourselves in the sacred history of Georgia. Our first stop will be the Djvari Monastery, a 6th-century masterpiece erected on top of a hill, from where we will contemplate the spectacular confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. We will descend to the city of Mtskheta to visit the majestic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a World Heritage site that guards Christ's tunic and centuries of royal history. Continuing our route north along the picturesque Georgian Military Highway, we will cross the Greater Caucasus until reaching the Kazbegi region. The highlight of the day will be the ascent to the iconic Trinity Church of Gergeti, located at 2170 meters altitude. In this incomparable setting, we will enjoy superb views of the Mount Kazbek glacier and the deep valley, before descending to end our day settling in the village of Stepantsminda.

From Stepantsminda, we will head towards the spectacular Truso gorge, a valley that seems taken from a fairy tale and offers one of the most rewarding hikes in Georgia. The trail winds along the source of the Terek River, guiding us through a vibrant geological landscape where the earth seems to be alive. We will marvel at the bubbling mineral water springs and the intensely colored travertine formations that contrast with the green of the alpine meadows. Along our way, we will discover ancient watchtowers and almost forgotten remote settlements, silent witnesses to history in this border area. It is an accessible hiking experience that combines wild nature and mysticism. Upon completing the route, we will resume transport to ascend the scenic curves of the main road until we reach Gudauri. This modern mountain resort, surrounded by dramatic peaks and infinite panoramas, will be our place of rest and overnight stay, closing a day of active exploration in the heart of the Greater Caucasus.

From Mestia, we will prepare for a scenic hiking journey that challenges the senses, with the goal of reaching the famous Koruldi Lakes. This route is celebrated for offering some of the most spectacular panoramic views in all of Svaneti. We will ascend to the heights, leaving the valley behind to venture into alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers, always under the watchful gaze of the imposing Mount Ushba, known as the "Queen of the Caucasus" for its distinctive double peak. Upon reaching the lakes, situated at about 2740 meters altitude, we will be rewarded with a natural mirror where the surrounding snow-capped peaks reflect on clear days. From this privileged viewpoint, we will enjoy a 360-degree view that encompasses giants like Tetnuldi and Laila. It will be a moment of deep connection with the immensity of nature before undertaking the return journey to the comfort of Mestia, closing an unforgettable day of adventure in the heart of the mountains.
