14 Days  |  Georgia, Armenia

About this trip

Travel the "Caucasus Roads" on a balanced 15-day journey that harmonizes mountain exploration with coastal pleasure and cultural richness. This itinerary is the ideal option for those who want to see the Black Sea and the main regions of Georgia and Armenia, but prefer a slightly more relaxed pace, omitting the longer and more demanding trips to the high mountains of Svaneti.

Georgia: Wine, Mountains and Sea

We will begin our adventure in the cradle of wine, Kakheti, visiting wineries and monasteries. We will head north along the Military Highway to the Trinity church of Gergeti in Kazbegi, enjoying alpine views. The route flows westward, allowing us to discover the canyons of Martvili before reaching the vibrant city of Batumi. There, the modern architecture, botanical garden and seaside promenade offer a perfect counterpoint to ancient history, allowing for a couple of days of relaxation by the sea.

Armenia: Stone and Tradition

The journey continues southward, crossing into Armenia through dramatically changing landscapes. We will explore the second Armenian city, Gyumri, famous for its humor and black tuff architecture. We will delve into the capital, Ereván, to discover its surrounding treasures: the temple of Garni, the monastery of Geghard and the cathedral of Echmiadzin. We will also visit Lake Sevan and the forested region of Dilijan. "Caucasus Roads" offers a complete panoramic view, combining green nature, blue coast and Armenia's reddish stone architecture.
