We will continue our journey through time at the nearby Gelati Academy, a monastic complex declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its impressive frescoes and educational legacy. Subsequently, we will head to the spectacular Prometheus Cave, an underground labyrinth of stalactites and stalagmites where, if water level conditions are favorable, we will enjoy a boat ride along its hidden river. Before leaving the city, we will immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Agricultural Market of Kutaisi. In this space full of life, aromas and colors, we will be able to taste local products and observe authentic Georgian daily life. Finally, with the complete experience of the Imereti region, we will embark on the road journey towards the east of the country until we reach our final destination: the capital, Tbilisi.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our cultural immersion in the vibrant Avenida Rustaveli, the beating heart of Tbilisi. On this elegant boulevard, we will admire architectural gems such as the imposing Parliament and the neo-Moorish Opera Theatre, as well as the distinctive Rustaveli Theatre and the beautiful Kashveti Church. Our tour will then take us to Plaza de Metekhi, where the historic church and the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali will offer us privileged views over the Mtkvari River. The experience will reach new heights as we take the cable car up to Fortaleza Narikala, the ancient 4th-century defensive citadel that offers the best panoramic views of the capital. Afterwards, we will venture into the picturesque district of Abanotubani, known worldwide for its historic sulfur baths and the charm of its medieval streets. Finally, we will culminate this unforgettable day by visiting the Basilica of Anchiskhati, the oldest church in the city, where time seems to stand still among its walls and centuries-old frescoes.

We will leave behind the capital, Tbilisi, to venture into the landscapes of Kakheti, the wine region par excellence, crossing the picturesque Gombori pass. Our first stop will be at the majestic Alaverdi Cathedral. This 11th-century architectural gem, which rises imposingly with its 50 meters of height in the middle of the valley, will impress us with its sobriety and monumentality. We will continue the route ascending towards the Nekresi Monastery, a historic complex nestled on a wooded hill that houses one of Georgia's oldest churches and offers unforgettable panoramic views of the Alazani Valley. Subsequently, we will head to Kvareli to live a unique experience at the famous Khareba Winery. We will venture into its famous tunnels ("Gvirabi") carved into the Caucasus rock and enjoy an exquisite wine tasting, savoring the local tradition in an incomparable atmosphere. Finally, with spirits lifted, we will arrive at Telavi, the historic capital of the region, where we will spend the night.

We will bid farewell to Telavi to exchange the vineyard landscapes for the imposing mountains of the north. We will travel along the historic Georgian Military Highway until we reach the fortified complex of Ananuri, whose medieval churches and towers are reflected in the turquoise waters of the Jinvali reservoir. We will continue our ascent to Kazbegi, where we will experience the most spectacular moment of the day: the climb to the Church of the Trinity of Gergeti. This temple rises majestically and solitary under the shadow of the eternal Mount Kazbek, offering one of the most famous views in the country. After enjoying this alpine landscape, we will head to the nearby ski resort of Gudauri, where we will settle in for the night.

Our journey will begin with a trip to antiquity at Uplistsikhe, a fascinating cave-city carved into the rock that dates back to the Iron Age. We will walk through its ancestral streets to discover a unique mix of pagan temples, secret tunnels and a remarkably preserved Roman theater, all while enjoying privileged views over the Mtkvari river. Next, we will change our focus to delight our senses at the Shato Ateni Winery, located in the beautiful Ateni Valley. There, surrounded by a vineyard landscape, we will learn about sparkling wine production and enjoy an exquisite tasting of local labels in a relaxed atmosphere. The day will culminate with an immersion into 20th century history by visiting the Stalin Museum in the city of Gori. In this site, we will explore the complex life of the Soviet leader by visiting his humble birth house and his imposing personal armored train. This final visit will offer us a deep perspective on his legacy, closing a dynamic itinerary that masterfully interweaves archaeology, winemaking tradition and modern history in the heart of Georgia.
