Immerse yourself in the "Charms of the Caucasus" with this dynamic 12-day proposal. This journey is a perfect synthesis for those who have less than two weeks but don't want to give up a complete and cross-border experience, connecting the capitals and most relevant historical sites of Armenia and Georgia.
From the solemn beauty of Mount Ararat seen from the monastery of Khor Virap, we will travel through Armenian history. We will explore the Hellenistic temple of Garni and the rock-hewn monastery of Geghard, testimony to medieval spirituality. We will enjoy the breeze of Lake Sevan and visit the northern monasteries, Haghpat and Sanahin, masterpieces of religious architecture.
Upon crossing into Georgia, the vibrant life of Tbilisi awaits us, with its cafés, galleries and historic baths. We will visit the ancient capital, Mtskheta, the spiritual heart of the country. There will be no shortage of forays into the high mountains of Kazbegi, where the alpine landscape takes your breath away. This tour places special emphasis on cultural heritage, visiting the impressive cave city of Uplistsikhe and the Stalin museum in Gori.
In the south, we will marvel at the fusion of cultures in the restored fortress of Rabati in Akhaltsikhe and the immensity of the rock city of Vardzia. The return to Armenia through the Bavra pass will allow us to discover the second Armenian city, Gyumri, famous for its cultural renaissance and unique architecture. An essential journey, intense and full of charm.
