7 Days  |  Georgia, Armenia

About this trip

For the traveler who wants to maximize their time without sacrificing the quality of the experience, "Exploring the Caucasus" offers an intensive 8-day immersion in the best of Georgia and Armenia. This "express" but complete itinerary is designed to connect the most emblematic points of both countries, eliminating downtime and focusing on the essential: history, culture and unforgettable landscapes.

Georgia: Wine and Antiquity

Our initial base will be Tbilisi, from where we will make a deep incursion into the Kakheti region. We will visit the monastery of Alaverdi and the citadel of Gremi, immersing ourselves in the history of the kingdom of Kakheti and its wine-making tradition. We will not leave behind the ancient capital, Mtskheta, with its Svetitskhoveli cathedral (where it is said that Christ's tunic is buried), nor the impressive cave city of Uplistsikhe, an urban settlement excavated in the rock that dates from the Iron Age.

Armenia: Stone, Faith and Tradition

We will cross the northern border to Armenia to be welcomed by the impressive monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin, stone guardians of medieval knowledge. The journey takes us directly to Yerevan, a city that surprises with its vitality. From the capital, we will explore the Temple of Garni, with its Ionic columns and its views of the basalt canyon, and the monastery of Geghard, famous for its supernatural acoustics.

The trip concludes with a visit to Echmiadzin, the beating heart of Armenian faith, and the ruins of Zvartnots facing Mount Ararat. In just eight days, you will have walked through cave cities, tasted ancestral wines, visited pagan temples and Christian cathedrals, taking away a panoramic and enriching vision of the diversity of the South Caucasus.
