Enjoy "Classic Georgia" on a circular 8-day trip with departure and arrival in Batumi. This itinerary is designed for those entering through the coast but who don't want to miss the cultural and wine heart of the country in the east.

Journey to the Heart of Wine

We will cross Georgia from west to east, passing through the Dendrological Park and the monastery of Ubisa. In Tiflis, we will explore the capital before venturing into Kakheti. There we will visit the majestic cathedral of Alaverdi, the citadel of Gremi and the city of Telavi, enjoying wine tastings and learning about local traditions.

Return Through History

The return journey to the west is a history lesson, with stops at the ancient capital Mtskheta, the cave city of Uplistsikhe and the monuments of Kutaisi (Gelati and Bagrati). We will finish again in Batumi. It is a balanced combination of culture, history and oenology, allowing you to see the different faces of Georgia departing comfortably from the Black Sea coast.

DAY 2: Batumi - its surroundings

After enjoying a relaxing breakfast at the hotel, we will dedicate the morning to connecting with the cultural roots of the region at the Ethnographic Museum of Batumi. This unique space, work of sculptor Kemal Turmanidze, will captivate us with its impressive wood carvings and recreations that celebrate the soul and traditional customs of Georgia in a visual and artistic way. Subsequently, we will move south to explore the historic Gonio Fortress. In this ancient Roman bastion from the 1st century, we will walk among ruins that whisper stories of the Silk Road and sacred legends, such as the supposed location of the tomb of the Apostle Matthias, all with the Black Sea breeze in the background. To close the day with a cosmopolitan touch, we will return to the heart of the city to tour the center of Batumi. We will get lost through the charming streets of the old town and stroll along its iconic coastal Boulevard, absorbing the vibrant atmosphere and eclectic architecture of this jewel of the Caucasus.

DAY 3: Batumi - Dendrological Park - Ubisa - Tbilisi

After a relaxing breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our adventure discovering the natural richness of the coast at the Shekvetili Dendrological Park. This impressive modern botanical garden unfolds as a sanctuary of biodiversity facing the Black Sea, where we will stroll among a unique collection of more than 200 species of exotic plants, explore its fascinating tropical greenhouse and venture into its artistic hedge maze. Subsequently, our journey will take a turn towards history and spirituality as we head to the Ubisa Monastery. Nestled in a picturesque mountain landscape, this 9th-century complex houses within its walls one of Georgia's most valuable artistic treasures: its vibrant 14th-century frescoes. DAY 4: Tbilisi - Guided tour

On this elegant boulevard, we will admire architectural gems such as the imposing Parliament and the neo-Moorish Opera Theatre, as well as the distinctive Rustaveli Theatre and the beautiful Kashveti Church. There we will explore its treasures declared World Heritage Sites: the panoramic Jvari Monastery and the sacred Cathedral of Svetitskhoveli. Next, we will travel through ancient history in Uplistsikhe, an impressive Iron Age rock city where we will walk among caves and temples carved into the sandstone rock. Our next stop will be in the nearby city of Gori, where we will visit the Stalin Museum to learn about the birthplace and career of the Soviet leader. Finally, we will continue our journey westward, venturing into the legendary land of Colchis, until reaching Kutaisi, where we will stay.

DAY 6: Kutaisi - Bagrati - Gelati - Promete - Batumi

We will begin our journey exploring the authenticity of the Agricultural Market of Kutaisi, a vibrant place where the aromas and colors of local products will envelop us. After this immersion in daily life, we will climb Ukimerioni hill to admire the Bagrati Cathedral, an imposing medieval structure that offers the best panoramic views of the city. We will continue the historical tour at the Gelati Academy, a UNESCO World Heritage site, a sacred complex that will dazzle us with its ancient frescoes and its importance in the Georgian Golden Age. Subsequently, we will venture into the depths of the earth in Prometheus Cave, a magical natural system adorned with impressive illuminated stalactites and stalagmites.
