Subsequently, we will move south to explore the historic Gonio Fortress. In this ancient Roman bastion from the 1st century, we will walk among ruins that whisper stories of the Silk Road and sacred legends, such as the supposed location of the tomb of the Apostle Matthias, all with the Black Sea breeze in the background. To close the day with a cosmopolitan touch, we will return to the heart of the city to tour the center of Batumi. We will get lost through the charming streets of the old town and stroll along its iconic coastal Boulevard, absorbing the vibrant atmosphere and eclectic architecture of this jewel of the Caucasus.

After enjoying breakfast and leaving behind the sea breeze of Batumi, we will head towards the green heart of Georgia to experience a day dedicated to the spectacular nature of Imereti. Our first stop will be the impressive Martvili Canyon, a landscape that seems taken from a fairy tale, where water has sculpted the rock for millennia. We will walk along its trails surrounded by virgin forest and, if the climate and river flow are favorable, we will have the privilege of navigating in boats through its turquoise waters, approaching its vibrant waterfalls. The adventure will continue as we immerse ourselves in the depths of the earth in the famous Prometheus Cave. There we will traverse a labyrinth of underground halls decorated with majestic stalactites and stalagmites and, whenever conditions permit, we will complete the experience with a fascinating boat ride along the river that flows inside. With our retina full of unforgettable landscapes, we will finish our journey arriving at the historic city of Kutaisi, where we will conclude this day of total connection with the elements.

Today, we will begin the day exploring the majestic Vardzia, an extraordinary 12th-century rock-hewn monastery-city that will transport us to the past. We will venture into its labyrinthine tunnels to discover unique medieval frescoes and visit its ancient cellars, witnesses to the millennia-old winemaking tradition of the area. We will continue our route towards the imposing Fortaleza Khertvisi, one of the oldest fortifications in Georgia, strategically located in the Samtskhe-Javakheti valley; there we will admire its robust walls and enjoy unparalleled panoramic views. Finally, we will head towards Tbilisi to conclude the day. Although an extensive road journey awaits us, this will become a memorable experience in itself, offering us a continuous visual spectacle. We will cross dreamlike landscapes dominated by the imposing mountains of the Lesser Caucasus, where wild nature and peaks will accompany us throughout the entire journey until we reach the vibrant capital, thus closing a day full of history and natural beauty.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our cultural immersion in the vibrant Avenida Rustaveli, the beating heart of Tbilisi. On this elegant boulevard, we will admire architectural gems such as the imposing Parliament and the neo-Moorish Opera Theatre, as well as the distinctive Rustaveli Theatre and the beautiful Kashveti Church. Our tour will then take us to Plaza de Metekhi, where the historic church and the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali will offer us privileged views over the Mtkvari River. The experience will reach new heights as we take the cable car up to Fortaleza Narikala, the ancient 4th-century defensive citadel that offers the best panoramic views of the capital. Afterwards, we will venture into the picturesque district of Abanotubani, known worldwide for its historic sulfur baths and the charm of its medieval streets. Our first stop will be at the Jvari Monastery, a 6th-century jewel situated atop a mountain, from where we will enjoy the iconic view of the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Next, we will descend to the ancient capital, Mtskheta, to visit the magnificent Cathedral of Svetitskhoveli. This temple, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered the sacred heart of Georgia and a masterpiece of medieval architecture. We will resume our route northward through the scenic Georgian Military Highway until we reach Kazbegi (Stepantsminda). There, the highlight will be the ascent to the Church of the Trinity of Gergeti, which stands solitary against the imposing and eternal summit of Mount Kazbek. After enjoying this postcard landscape, we will head to the mountain resort of Gudauri to spend the night.

We will take a leap back in time of more than three millennia to discover Uplistsikhe, a fascinating cave-city masterfully carved into living rock. We will walk through the ancient streets of this extraordinary archaeological site, a true open-air museum where pagan temples and Christian basilicas coexist. The adventure will continue exploring its mysterious secret tunnels and cave dwellings, all while enjoying unparalleled panoramic views over the course of the Mtkvari river. This experience, which unites modern political history with the most ancient roots of civilization in the Caucasus, will leave us with an indelible impression of the cultural richness of Georgia.

Today awaits us an epic journey ascending towards the highest peaks of Europe. From Kutaisi, we will embark on the journey towards the remote region of Svaneti until reaching Ushguli, recognized as one of the highest inhabited settlements on the continent (2,200 meters). This cluster of villages, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, seems frozen in time with its dozens of medieval defensive towers. There, under the imposing shadow of Mount Shkhara, the highest peak in Georgia, we will walk along trails that bring us closer to the base of its glacier and share moments with locals who keep alive the ancient Svan culture. We will breathe the pure air of the high mountains and marvel at breathtaking landscapes before descending slightly to end our day in the main town of the region, Mestia, surrounded by history and wild nature.

We will leave behind the majesty of the snow-capped peaks and the defensive towers of Mestia to embark on a spectacular descent from the Greater Caucasus. The winding road will offer us unforgettable views of deep gorges and rushing rivers until we reach the fertile plains of the Samegrelo region, passing through its capital, Zugdidi. As we approach the coast, we will make an essential stop at the Shekvetili Dendrological Park. This unique space is a sanctuary of biodiversity where we will walk among giant and centuries-old trees, many of them transported by sea in an engineering feat. We will explore its diverse microclimates, crossing bamboo forests and observing exotic fauna like lemurs and pink flamingos in freedom. After enjoying this oasis of tranquility and botanical nature, we will complete our journey heading south. The day will culminate upon arriving at Batumi, the pearl of the Black Sea, where the futuristic architecture and cosmopolitan atmosphere of the waterfront promenade will welcome us for our well-deserved rest.
