Yerevan and the Heart of Armenia

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Tbilisi - Sadakhlo - Haghpat - Saghmosavank - Ereván

We will bid farewell to Tbilisi to head south towards the border crossing of Sadakhlo. After completing the immigration procedures and entering Armenia, we will be welcomed by the mountainous landscapes of the Lori region. Our first major stop will be the Monastery of Haghpat, a masterpiece of medieval architecture declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will explore its ancient gavits and historic atmosphere. We will continue the journey south until we reach the Aragatsotn region to visit the impressive Monastery of Saghmosavank (Monastery of the Psalms). This place will leave us breathless not only for its architecture, but for its dramatic location at the edge of the vertiginous Kasakh River Canyon. Finally, we will complete our journey arriving in Ereván, the vibrant Armenian capital, where we will stay.

DAY 2: Yerevan - City walk Yerevan - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan

We will begin the day immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Ereván, one of the world's oldest cities, where past and present coexist in harmony. During our city tour, we will walk through its elegant avenues to admire the fusion of Soviet and neoclassical architecture, stopping at emblematic points such as the majestic Republic Square and the artistic complex of La Cascada, from where we will enjoy panoramic views of the city. Subsequently, we will travel to the outskirts to visit the Temple of Garni, a unique archaeological jewel in the South Caucasus. We will continue our journey toward the border at Sadakhlo, the meeting point where we will complete the procedures to cross from Armenia to Georgia. After this cultural scenery change, the road will finally guide us to Tbilisi.
