Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Gori - Kutaisi

We will leave behind Tbilisi to first visit the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia, Mtskheta. There we will explore its treasures declared World Heritage Sites: the panoramic Jvari Monastery and the sacred Cathedral of Svetitskhoveli. Next, we will travel through ancient history in Uplistsikhe, an impressive Iron Age rock city where we will walk among caves and temples carved into the sandstone rock. Our next stop will be in the nearby city of Gori, where we will visit the Stalin Museum to learn about the birthplace and career of the Soviet leader. Finally, we will continue our journey westward, venturing into the legendary land of Colchis, until reaching Kutaisi, where we will stay.

DAY 2: Kutaisi - Bagrati - Gelati - Promete - Kutaisi

Our journey begins by immersing ourselves in the vibrant local life of Kutaisi with a visit to its colorful Agricultural Market. Among stalls of spices and fresh products, we will enjoy an authentic sensory experience before ascending Ukimerioni hill to admire the majestic Bagrati Cathedral. This architectural jewel will offer us unforgettable panoramic views of the city before continuing towards the Gelati Academy. In this monastic complex, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will travel to the past through its impressive frescoes and historical atmosphere. Subsequently, we will exchange human legacy for natural marvel by exploring Prometheus Cave. DAY 3: Kutaisi - Okatse - Martvili - Batumi

We will leave behind Kutaisi to venture into the lush nature of western Georgia, on a day dedicated to spectacular landscapes. Our first stop will be in the Imereti region to explore the Okatse Canyon. There we will live a thrilling experience walking along its famous walkway suspended over the abyss, from where we will enjoy unparalleled views of the deep gorge and virgin forest. Subsequently, we will move to the Samegrelo region to discover the magic of the Martvili Canyon. This place seems taken from a fairy tale, with its intense turquoise waters and dense vegetation. If the water level permits, we will take a relaxing boat ride on the Abasha river, navigating between rock walls covered with moss, and we will walk along scenic trails surrounded by crystal-clear waterfalls. After a day of total immersion in these natural jewels, we will descend towards the Black Sea coast to end our route in the vibrant and modern city of Batumi.

DAY 4: Batumi - Dendrological Park - Ubisa - Tbilisi

After a relaxing breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our adventure discovering the natural richness of the coast at the Shekvetili Dendrological Park. This impressive modern botanical garden unfolds as a sanctuary of biodiversity facing the Black Sea, where we will stroll among a unique collection of more than 200 species of exotic plants, explore its fascinating tropical greenhouse and venture into its artistic hedge maze. Subsequently, our journey will take a turn towards history and spirituality as we head to the Ubisa Monastery. Nestled in a picturesque mountain landscape, this 9th-century complex houses within its walls one of Georgia's most valuable artistic treasures: its vibrant 14th-century frescoes.
