7 Days | Georgia
Follow the "Georgian Wine Route" on a 7-day journey that celebrates the world's oldest winemaking tradition. Although we start in Batumi, on the western coast, the main objective of this itinerary is to take us to the heart of wine culture in the eastern part of the country, offering a complete enological experience combined with cultural visits.
We will leave behind the Black Sea and the historic city of Kutaisi to cross the country. Along the way, we will stop at the cave city of Uplistsikhe and the ancient capital Mtskheta, sacred places that prepare us for cultural immersion. Upon arriving in Tbilisi, we will head to the Kakheti region, the epicenter of Georgian wine.
In Kakheti, we will visit the majestic Alaverdi cathedral, surrounded by monastic vineyards, and the city of Telavi. We will have the opportunity to visit traditional and modern wineries, learning about the qvevri production method (large buried clay jars), recognized by UNESCO. We will taste unique amber wines and enjoy local gastronomy in Kvareli. This trip is a pilgrimage for lovers of good drinking and eating, connecting sensory pleasure with the deep history of a nation that has cultivated vines for 8,000 years.
