Combine life's pleasures on the "Wine and Sea Route", a 9-day journey that unites the Kakheti region with the Adjara coast. Starting in Tbilisi, we will immerse ourselves in wine culture in the east, visiting Telavi, Alaverdi and Gremi.

From East to West

After tasting the finest wines in Kakheti, we will cross the country towards the west. We will visit ancient Mtskheta and the cave city of Uplistsikhe. In Imereti, we will explore Prometheus Cave and the monasteries of Kutaisi.

Adjara Coast

The journey culminates in Batumi, where we will enjoy local gastronomy, wine and the sea. We will visit the Dendrological Garden and have free time in the city. A hedonistic journey designed to enjoy the flavors, aromas and landscapes of Georgia.

DAY 1: Transfer from Tbilisi Airport to the capital

We will provide transfer from the airport to the hotel with the assistance of our guide, who will be accompanying you throughout the entire journey.

DAY 2: Tbilisi - Guided tour

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our cultural immersion in the vibrant Avenida Rustaveli, the beating heart of Tbilisi. On this elegant boulevard, we will admire architectural gems such as the imposing Parliament and the neo-Moorish Opera Theatre, as well as the distinctive Rustaveli Theatre and the beautiful Kashveti Church. Our tour will then take us to Plaza de Metekhi, where the historic church and the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali will offer us privileged views over the Mtkvari River. The experience will reach new heights as we take the cable car up to Fortaleza Narikala, the ancient 4th-century defensive citadel that offers the best panoramic views of the capital. Afterwards, we will venture into the picturesque district of Abanotubani, known worldwide for its historic sulfur baths and the charm of its medieval streets. Finally, we will culminate this unforgettable day by visiting the Basilica of Anchiskhati, the oldest church in the city, where time seems to stand still among its walls and centuries-old frescoes.

DAY 3: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Gori - Kutaisi

We will leave behind Tbilisi to first visit the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia, Mtskheta. There we will explore its treasures declared World Heritage Sites: the panoramic Jvari Monastery and the sacred Cathedral of Svetitskhoveli. Next, we will travel through ancient history in Uplistsikhe, an impressive Iron Age rock city where we will walk among caves and temples carved into the sandstone rock. Our next stop will be in the nearby city of Gori, where we will visit the Stalin Museum to learn about the birthplace and career of the Soviet leader. Finally, we will continue our journey westward, venturing into the legendary land of Colchis, until reaching Kutaisi, where we will stay.

DAY 4: Kutaisi - Bagrati - Motsameta - Gelati - Nikortminda-Kutaisi

Our cultural exploration begins in Kutaisi, first visiting the majestic Catedral de Bagrati. From its privileged location on the hill, we will visually dominate the entire city before moving to a place of spectacular geography: the Monastery of Motsameta. Dramatically located on a rocky promontory surrounded by the Tskaltsitela river, this sanctuary offers an atmosphere of deep spirituality and moving landscapes. A short distance away, the Academia de Gelati awaits us, a complex declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site that preserves invaluable frescoes and the history of the Georgian Golden Age. Subsequently, we will leave behind the city's surroundings to venture into the picturesque region of Racha, famous for its mountainous landscapes. There we will visit the Cathedral of Nikortsminda, a masterpiece of ecclesiastical architecture, recognized worldwide for the intricate beauty of its stone reliefs and magnificent decorated interiors. Surrounded by the serenity of the mountains, we will enjoy this artistic gem before undertaking the return journey to Kutaisi, thus concluding a day dedicated to sacred art and nature.

DAY 5: Kutaisi - Promete - Martvili - Batumi

We will begin the day descending into the bowels of the earth in the spectacular Prometheus Cave, located very close to Kutaisi. We will tour its immense halls decorated with millenary stalactites and stalagmites, enhanced by artistic lighting and classical music, and if the groundwater level permits, we will live the unique experience of exiting the cave navigating by boat through its hidden river. Next, the adventure continues on the surface by visiting Martvili Canyon. In this dreamlike corner of the Samegrelo region, the turquoise-colored water and subtropical vegetation create an unforgettable landscape. If the river water has adequate water level, we will enjoy a boat ride along the Abasha river and walk along trails surrounded by waterfalls. Finally, with our camera full of spectacular photos, we will head towards the coast to end our day in the modern and lively city of Batumi.

DAY 6: Batumi - Ubisa Monastery - Tbilisi

After bidding farewell to the coast in Batumi, we will venture into the green heart of Georgia to discover an authentic hidden gem in the Imereti region: the Ubisa Monastery. This ancient monastic complex, whose origins date back to the 9th century, will welcome us with an atmosphere of absolute peace, surrounded by a lush mountainous environment that invites reflection and tranquility. However, the true treasure of Ubisa awaits inside, where art takes on a sublime prominence. We will be amazed by its extraordinary 14th-century frescoes, considered one of the pinnacles of Georgian medieval mural painting.
