We'll start by marveling at the futuristic architecture of Bakú and the ancient history of the Old City. We'll visit the mysterious mud volcanoes of Gobustán before crossing westward through the landscapes of Sheki.
In Georgia, we'll transition from semi-arid landscapes to the fertile valleys of vineyards. We'll visit the city of love, Signagi, and the capital, Tiflis. Border crossings become part of the adventure, revealing subtle changes in architecture, gastronomy and local traditions. In Tiflis, we'll explore the Narikala fortress and sulfur baths, immersing ourselves in the history of this crossroads city.
In Armenia, we'll focus on the essential landmarks that define the country's identity. We'll visit Lake Sevan and the northern monasteries, Haghpat and Sanahin, declared World Heritage Sites. In Ereván, we'll feel the city's pulse and explore its surroundings: the Garni temple, Geghard monastery and Echmiadzin cathedral. The journey also includes a visit to the south to see Mount Ararat from Khor Virap monastery, an iconic image that will close the trip with a golden flourish. A compact but profound experience.
